Eagle Peak, a small suburban subdivision in eastern Lindale, gets really popular each October. "It is hopping on Halloween. The whole town goes there for trick or treating. You can barely get in or out because of all the people,” says Randi Haluptzok, a Realtor with Cheryl Rivera Smith Broker who sells throughout the area and used to live in the neighborhood. With its wide streets, spacious front yards and established feel, the neighborhood offers a quiet suburban experience close to downtown Lindale and the city of Tyler.

New Traditional homes with three and four bedrooms
The homes in Eagle Peak are New Traditional style with three or four bedrooms, brick facades and big front windows. They were built throughout the early 2000s, and many feature new appliances and flooring. Front and backyards are spacious and are often dotted with tall, mature trees. Prices range from the mid $200,000s to the low $300,000s. Many homes have two-car garages, which keeps the streets clear of parked cars. While there are no sidewalks, wide roads leave plenty of room for early morning jogs, afternoon walks or evening bike rides.

The Lindale Independent School District serves the area
Children in the neighborhood can attend public schools within the Lindale Independent School District. Those in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten can start at the Early Childhood Center, which has a B-minus on Niche. Velma Penny Elementary School and College Street Elementary School, which have A ratings, serve first through third grades. Fourth, fifth and sixth graders attend A-rated E.J. Moss Intermediate, and seventh and eighth graders attend A-rated Lindale Junior High School. For ninth through 12th grade, students attend A-minus-rated Lindale High School, which serves about 1,300 students. Eagle Eye News, the high school’s student-run newspaper, has won multiple Interscholastic League Press Conference awards.

Shopping and dining in Downtown Lindale
Pink Pistol, a gift and clothing boutique owned by musician Miranda Lambert, is located on the aptly named Miranda Lambert Way. The shop is part of a larger retail, dining and residence development, The Cannery, which includes Texas Music City Grill & Smokehouse, a favorite for its steaks and live music. Down Mineola Highway residents can pick up groceries at Brookshire’s and use services like banks, gas stations and the post office.

Darden Harvest Park is a go-to for outdoor recreation
Darden Harvest Park, located about 2 miles from the neighborhood near downtown, is a popular green space with a playground, a splash pad and lighted walking trails. There is also a dog park, an 18-hole disc golf course and a gazebo overlooking a tranquil pond. Pool Recreation Park is another downtown destination with a splash pad, soccer fields and picnic tables.

Residents can take Mineola Highway to Tyler, about 18 miles away. Nearby Tyler Pounds Regional Airport offers daily flights to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Tyler is also home to UT Health Tyler, a large health complex with a hospital, emergency room and multiple doctors’ offices.
