Central Little Rock suburb with expansive green spaces
When it comes to Little Rock's neighborhoods, Boyle Park is truly in the center of everything. It's within walking distance of the University of Arkansas’ Little Rock campus, the zoo, and the massive, namesake park that makes up most of its western border. Boyle Park residents also find that traveling around the greater metropolitan area is a breeze. But even those wishing to stay close to home will find themselves a mere stone's throw from some of the best green spaces Little Rock has to offer.
Classic ranch-style homes between $100,000 and $300,000
The neighborhood is brimming with traditional brick ranch-style homes and split-levels with hipped roofs. Most of them come with narrow front yards and spacious backyards, as well as covered driveways or garages. Asking prices typically hang around the $100,000 to $150,000 mark for a smaller two- or three-bedroom ranch-style. Larger homes with four bedrooms or more rise to a listing price in the $300,000 range.

The densely wooded trails here welcome beginner and veteran mountain bikers alike. For even more options, Kanis Park contains skating ramps, bridged waterways and multi-use sports fields. This area is a popular tennis destination. Nationally recognized by the United States Tennis Association, Rebsamen Tennis Center offers 17 lighted courts, three backboards and ball machines for players of all skill levels. Join the neighbors for a burger and drinks at Zack's Place
When it comes to everyday shopping, most residents head about 5 miles west to the Walmart Supercenter in John Barrow. But Asian grocery store Sam’s Oriental lies in the nearby Town & Country Shopping Center. Also in this strip are Chinese and Mediterranean restaurants, a Walgreens, a video game store and several fast-food chains. The most popular restaurant here, however, has been around for 25 years. Known as Little Rock’s first sports bar, Zack’s Place is a social hub on most days, but is especially packed and energetic on big game days. Regulars recommend trying one of the burgers as you take on a friendly game of darts or pool at this locally beloved watering hole.

This area is so nice to live in because of the people and the surrounding areas in the community that makes it easy to live here in this part of town. It is quiet and peaceful and not a lot of noise and crime in this area. It is a great place to live compared to other parts of this country.

Street lighting sucks and some roads need work. Crime doesn't concern me.

There are five different hospitals within 20 miles of downtown, as well as many specialized clinics and medical practices. Many of the jobs here are open to doctors, nurses, and the general public. No one is really excluded so the job market is high in the medical field. There are also a variety of restaurants and entertainment venues that hire all different personalities.

It's an older neighborhood, so many of the residents are also older. There's a diverse population of elderly, blacks, whites, Asians, families, and kids. Everyone looks out for everyone else and helps each other with yard work, snow removal, etc. It's a rare benefit to have such a tight knit community of people. As the neighborhood grows, I can see younger families moving here.
