Loch Arbour, named for a region of the Scottish Highlands, is a recent creation, splitting off from Ocean Township with the last of that community’s beachfront in 1957. Loch Arbour’s origins lay in the boom of Jersey Shore condominiums after World War II, when the region became a popular summer resort for New York and Philadelphia residents. While less than .13 square miles in size, Loch Arbour has a mixed feeling to it. Realtor Jenna Cavadas of eXp Realty says that, “It’s a great little town, and it offers the best of all worlds.
