A close-knit community
Sprawling across the three towns of Manhasset, Roslyn and Port Washington, Flower Hill is a peaceful, verdant village featuring upscale homes and easy-access amenities. “If you’re looking at all three, it’s like apples and oranges a little bit,” says Ann Hance, an associate real estate broker at Compass, regarding the three sections of Flower Hill. “People are very community-minded.” Hance moved to the area in 1995 and has purchased and renovated five homes in Flower Hill and nearby Munsey Park.

Spacious homes on spacious lots
Living in Flower Hill, especially the Manhasset portion of the village, comes with a high price tag, ranging from $910,000 to $7.8 million. “Flower Hill Manhasset has some of the highest-priced homes in the neighborhood,” Hance says. Flower Hill has a board that reviews house designs. Colonial homes are by far the most common, but there are also Tudors and ranch-style. The portion of Flower Hill in Manhasset is popular among buyers, partially because of its large parcels of land. “Flower Hill has some of the largest properties within the town of Manhasset,” Hance says. “We have some land in our community up to an acre or an acre and a half, so you have the opportunity to own some really large property.” Many homeowners in this section of Flower Hill add swimming pools and/or tennis courts. Narrow streets lined with oak trees and dense vegetation meander throughout the neighborhood. There are no sidewalks.
