South Valley is an unincorporated hamlet in the Town of Hempstead on Long Island.

A seller’s market on Long Island
The area offers Cape Cod and ranch-style homes with yards on streets shaded by mature trees. Prices typically range from around $550,000 to $1.1 million. Markets all over Long Island continue to experience low inventory and high demand, and South Valley Stream is no different. “Sellers are still getting a good amount of money for their homes, and there are definitely buyers out there,” Cherubin says. Pricing is key, she adds, noting that a home that’s priced right will find a buyer quickly. Renovated, move-in-ready residences with gleaming kitchens and bathrooms may even spark a bidding war and sell for over the asking price.

Top-notch schools within a supportive community
Students can attend Forest Road School, which gets an A on Niche and serves kindergarten through sixth grade. Valley Stream South High School starts with seventh grade and gets an A minus on Niche. “It’s a close-knit community. Everyone’s pretty much involved if they have school-age children,” Cherubin says.

I think Valleystream, NY is very nice and quiet. Mean need houses that are near each other but has enough space for your private space. there so much more in south valley stream just have to search for it .

It's a great neighborhood to grow up in. The education system is very good, but housing can be a little pricey at times. It's a very supporting and community-driven area to live in.

There are a lot of racists here, typical of Long Island. Old dinosaurs talking about how they should call it "Valley Queens". They love to talk about "savages" and "animals" who commit petty crimes, they seem to ignore the white criminals though... yes, it's diverse but that just brings out all the folks who can't stop talking about how the neighborhood is "changed".
