Across from the pool is the Crescent Hill Golf Course, a publicly-owned 9-hole golf course with no water hazards or bunkers. Nearby, the Crescent Hill Reservoir is listed as a tourist attraction. “You can walk around the reservoir, and folks will go there to watch the sunset,” says Rose-Zupetz. The Gothic-style Gatehouse houses valves previously used to control water flow in and out of the reservoir. At the secluded Kennedy Court Park, residents can enjoy a playground, a walking loop and benches shaded by a tree canopy.Porcini Restaurant and WheelHouse Art
Residents visit Porcini Restaurant, a popular location serving Italian fare in a wood and brick interior for upscale dining. The Wine Rack holds wine tastings on Fridays, featuring wines from different countries. Nearby is WheelHouse Art, a fine art gallery displaying paintings and sculptures. The gallery also offers custom framing. The Goodall Gallery displays more abstract and contemporary works. Locals visit Blue Dog Bakery & Café for home-baked goods and coffee. Residents visit Shelbyville Road Plaza off Route 60 or Target and Kroger on Westport Road for groceries and other essentials.The Kentucky Derby
Many locals come into town for the Kentucky Derby. A 20-minute drive from Churchill Downs, Frankfort Ave is where visitors eat and shop in their downtime. The Peterson-Dumesnil House hosts year-round events for the residents of Crescent Hill, from fireworks on the Fourth of July to hosting artists and vendors on the grounds.Clothing Assistance Program through county school district
Children attend Field Elementary School, receiving a B-plus on Niche. Students continue to Barret Traditional Middle School, receiving an A-minus. Students complete their secondary education at Waggener High School, receiving a C rating. Crescent Hill is a walkable area, with most essentials found along Frankfort Ave. Bus stops can also be located along Route 60. Crescent Hill is bordered by Route 42 and close to I-64.
