Most properties in Skyline View are single-family homes, though there are clusters of townhouses, condos and apartments. Most homes sell for between $300,000 and $400,000, with a median price of around $340,000.Students attend the Central Dauphin School District

State game lands in the mountains and Skyline Commons Park
Skyline View’s subdivisions are surrounded by farmland, and the Appalachian Mountains are just north. “It’s a mountain range, but they’re just big hills. It isn’t like Colorado,” Lynn says. “There are a lot of state game lands there, where people hunt and walk.” Skyline Commons Park also has a playground, pickleball and basketball courts, a small trail and more facilities bordering many neighborhood homes, and Mountain View Swim Club has a lap pool with a slide and diving board bordering the neighborhood.Commuting to Harrisburg and nearby facilities
Harrisburg is about 12 miles west, and commuters can get into the city via U.S. Route 22 and Interstate 81. “Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania, so all of the government buildings are there. But most people who work there live out in these townships,” Lynn says. “We’re only about 15 or 20 minutes outside the city.” Harrisburg International Airport is 15 miles south. Skyline View has a CAP Index crime score of 1 out of 10, far below the national average of 4.
