Simple living in University Pines

As southwest Lubbock enjoys increasing growth, University Pines maintains its mellow charm. The neighborhood is primarily residential but still close to major thoroughfares like 82nd Street and Indiana Avenue, melding a slower pace of living with access to nearby shops and restaurants. Residents can stroll along tree-lined streets and sidewalks of the neighborhood or walk to one of two city parks. “It’s very family-oriented, and it’s a really affordable neighborhood,” says Jennifer Busbea, a broker associate at Halley Road Real Estate. “There’s a lot of investment properties and homes for first-time homebuyers.”
