Continental Reserve does not have a dedicated retail hub but does lie between various shopping centers, including one anchored by a Safeway and another with a Fry’s Food Stores. Restaurants line Silverbell Road, such as the family owned La Olla Mexican Cafe, serving Sonoran-style cuisine. “Li’l Abner’s Steakhouse predates the community. It was way out there on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere in the 1980s, and they built the community around it,” Grammar says. “If you go inside, it’s got wood floors and a wooden bar with everybody’s initials carved in it.”About 3 miles away, Arizona Pavilions Shopping Center has additional restaurants, some national chains and department stores.
