Home Corner is right around the corner from the VA hospital
Home Corner sits on the southeasternmost corner of Marion, flanked by the Marion VA Medical Center and cornfields. With the rest of Marion to the north, residents can keep to their quiet, almost rural streets. Sally Jenks lists the VA hospital as one of Marion’s major employers, alongside Indiana Wesleyan University right next door, meaning Home Corner residents can live right around the corner from work. While residents here may be on the outskirts of Marion, they are closer to Gas City than most Marion neighborhoods, where they can access the city’s destination park and the annual events hosted there.

Tucker Realty Center and Gas City resident. The pool here is open in the summer, where kids can enroll in swim lessons. “There’s a lot of camping there too,” Poling says. “There’s always campers and tents and lots of tables for people to have a picnic.” While this park might be outside of Marion’s city limits, it is closer than Marion’s major destination park — Matter Park, which is over 6 miles north.
