A residential community tucked outside Ocala
Just 18 miles south of Downtown Ocala, Marion Oaks provides large lots and open space, all in a prime location. The neighborhood comprises a diverse mix of industrial centers, undeveloped land and expansive subdivisions. "The neighborhood's convenient location is a big draw for homebuyers," says Realtor Elady Fonseca of Great Expectations Realty. Fonseca has sold over a dozen homes in Marion Oaks and has been in the business for over five years. "You're not so much into the city limits, so it's a peaceful location. But you can still get anywhere in twenty minutes."

Ample late 20th-century homes and open swaths of land
The center of Marion Oaks offers primarily 1970s concrete block homes with either single-car garages or carports. Residential streets branch out and feature 1980s ranch-style homes accented with palm trees and pluming magnolias, and traditional asymmetrical stucco homes with attached garages common to Florida. New development spreads out further from the main area, and buyers will find Millennial models with porticos and columned entryways and larger traditional stucco homes with hipped roofs on spacious lots. Homes range from $160,000 to $600,000. Marion Oaks also has ample open, undeveloped plots of land available for buyers to build their dream homes. Lots typically cost around $30,000 to $50,000.
