Parkwood-Mercer Firs is on an island between two big cities
Parkwood-Mercer Firs is a quiet spot on Mercer Island, just east and west of big cities, where locals can soak in the natural beauty of Washington State. "It's a true island connected by bridges to both Bellevue and downtown Seattle," says Greg Rosenwald, a broker with Compass Washington. "You have these natural borders because you're on this island. You go from four elementary schools to one middle school to one high school, so you get a lot of people like me who grew up there and come back." He adds that when the sun is out, water sports of all kinds are a big part of daily lives. Residents also enjoy abundant green spaces and miles of trails.
