Near the neighborhood’s east side, Doral Glades Park lets residents go fishing, kayaking or walk along the boardwalk of Roseate Spoonbill Lake. Nature lovers can also appreciate Florida wildlife at the park’s nature center and preserve.

The city of Doral also sponsors a 5K run twice a year, and the Fourth of July and Halloween are huge events — a lot of pluses when you’re a parent,” Roach says.
