Refined living awaits in this planned community with Spanish and modern flair
With subdivision names like Antilles, Corsica and Santorini, the Islands of Doral brings an international charm to suburban life in the Miami metro area. Comprised of multiple planned subdivisions parked between vibrant lakes, this neighborhood aims to impress with plentiful amenities and distinctive Spanish Revival aesthetics, giving residents a taste of paradise without leaving home. “The beauty and style of the Islands is remarkable. The homes are good-sized, between 1,500 and 3,600 square feet, and many were built in the last 20 years,” says Bryan Roach, associate Realtor with Avenew Realty Corp. Roach has more than a decade of experience in the Miami real estate industry.

Spanish Revivals to the west, 21st century moderns to the east
Satinleaf, shortleaf fig and palm trees shade the air over the Islands of Doral’s Spanish Revival and Mediterranean-influenced homes. Warm color schemes, arches red Mission tile roofs define the neighborhood’s look, with a mix of ranch-style homes, two-story properties, townhomes and condos. Newer condos and homes near the neighborhood’s east end bring a 21st-century modern style, with angular facades and asymmetrical forms. Home prices start near the $350,000s for condos and can reach more than $2 million for the area’s most luxurious modern homes; buyers can generally find homes at most prices within that range. “Buyers are surprised to see the range of options here. They often find a home that meets or exceeds their must-haves,” Roach says.
