Olympia Heights connects to the greater Miami area with Bird Road/Southwest 40th Street on the neighborhood’s north side and Palmetto Expressway/FL-826 to the east. Other major thoroughfares include SR-874/Don Shula Expressway on the southeast side, SR-973/Galloway Road on the east side and Southwest 107th Avenue on the west side. Many students in Olympia Heights attend schools within the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. While this area has many things to see and do, the traffic is horrible and the streets are always crowded. The residents of this city do not obey the traffic laws, causing several accidents. There are stores conveniently located nearby. This city is over populated and I see that problem becoming worse in the future. The humidity levels are extremely high, making this city worse to live in than other areas where one can experience all the seasons.
