The neighborhood is about 4 miles north of Interstate 20, which is a straight shot to the city of Odessa, 25 miles away. “If you’re working in Odessa, it would be a really good neighborhood to go to,” says Norma Pine, a local broker and co-owner of Pine & Beckett Realtors, who is regularly a top producer in Midland. People in Loma Linda have multiple EZ-Rider bus stops within walking distance, too.

Tank's Bar-B-Que is more than meets the eye

Located in a small, white building just off Scharbauer Drive, Tank's Bar-B-Que & Catering has a lofty reputation. Locals laud not just the barbecue here, but also the burgers. And they can finish a meal with a helping of banana pudding. People can also stop by Taco diVino on Oak Avenue, known in part for its street corn. Scharbauer Drive has a Super Mercado grocery store, too, and there’s also a Dollar General in the neighborhood.
