Skyline Terrace offers affordable homes in convenient location
In the heart of Midland, Texas, Skyline Terrace is a neighborhood where it’s always easy to shop. Within Texas State Highway Loop 250, it’s home to the sprawling Midland Park Mall, which draws folks looking for quick commutes and easy access to everyday amenities. “Most people look for convenience to work or their kid's schools,” says Realtor Daina Perkins with eXp Realty, who was born and raised in Midland. Plus, the neighborhood’s established homes on landscaped lots are more affordable than surrounding areas. “Homes are moderately priced,” Perkins says. “You can go a few blocks south, and homes can cost up to $1 million because the location is so good.”

Established neighborhood with tree-lined streets
Although the neighborhood lies in arid West Texas, it was primarily developed in the 1980s, so the landscaping is green and mature. “People walk up and down the street all the time because they’re tree-lined,” Perkins says. Brick ranch-style homes and two-story New Traditional houses line the neighborhood’s sidewalks. While these homes are older, many feature updated interiors and modern features. “Some people bought these homes because of the location,” Perkins says. “They’ll do some remodeling, and it’s as if they’re getting a brand-new home with mature landscaping.” Potential homebuyers can find a single-family property for between about $305,000 and $575,000, while condos can cost $55,000 to $105,000.
