Lincoln Park, an affordable Milwaukee suburb

Lincoln Park is an affordable Milwaukee neighborhood that draws homebuyers who enjoy access to restaurants, shopping and large wooded parks. “There is a good combination of renters, first-time homebuyers and people who have owned previously,” says Broker Chris Slinker, who sells homes in the area with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Metro Realty. “It’s an affordable working-class area where you can get a high-quality home.” Homebuyers also appreciate access to the cultural offerings in Downtown Milwaukee. Most properties have yards large enough to host backyard cookouts on the weekends with family, friends and coworkers who also happen to be neighbors. “Many of the people who live in Lincoln Park work at Johnson Controls, which is based in the area,” Slinker says. The company manufactures automotive batteries.
