Why residents value the location and accessibility of Southpoint
Located on Milwaukee's South Side, Southpoint combines a neighborhood feel with everyday convenience. The area is known for its collection of postwar Cape Cods and ranch-style homes, with shopping, dining and other daily errands in the area's west side. Reliable transit, easy access to major roads and well-equipped parks add to the neighborhood’s appeal as a convenient place to live close to the city.
Classic, postwar styles with modern updates
Midcentury Cape Cods and ranch-style homes make up most of the housing in Southpoint, with many still showcasing postwar details like hardwood floors, arched doorways and original woodwork. Over the years, plenty of homes have been updated with modern kitchens and finished basements which often provide extra living space. The median sale price is in the mid-$200,000s, with prices generally ranging from the mid-$100,000s to the lower $300,000s. That puts Southpoint in a similar price range as Southgate and Morgandale. On the other hand, it tends to be less expensive than Wilson Park and Greenfield.
