Huntington offers west Miramar convenience
Huntington is a collection of subdivisions just west of central Miramar, close to Florida’s Turnpike and Interstate 75. “The main draw for homebuyers is just the general convenience, the proximity to the major highways, shopping and restaurants,” says Realtor Connie Cooper of Connie Cooper Realty, a Miami-Dade County local with almost a decade of real estate experience. The community is less than 5 miles from commercial and entertainment districts in central Miramar and less than 30 miles north of Miami. Huntington's nearness to busy parts of town and highways notwithstanding, the neighborhood is known for having a quiet, suburban vibe.
Spanish and Mediterranean-inspired single-family homes
New Traditional homes with Spanish and Mediterranean-inspired exterior design details are common in all Huntington subdivisions. Some, like the Reserve at Huntington and Huntington Gardens, are gated, but most are not. “Most of these communities have large lot sizes, which is unique for the area,” Cooper says. Prices run anywhere from about $550,000 to north of $1 million, depending on the location. “There’s a lower-priced one, one that’s medium-priced and one that’s very expensive. The subdivisions vary like that,” Cooper says. Typically, prices in the gated areas are higher. Proximity to Huntington’s lake also elevates prices – and raises the risk of flooding, though the entire neighborhood falls within a flood zone.
Many single family homes in Huntington offer lake views with large backyards.
Many of the homes in Huntington offer covered car garages for the residents vehicles.
