"Look at the Sea"
The name “Miramar” comes from a historic beach suburb in Havana, the Spanish word directly translating to “Look at the Sea.” Ironically, this South Florida city is 21 miles from the beach. But Miramar’s dedication to multicultural celebrations and community strengthening is an attraction in and of itself. “Just about every demographic finds a home in Miramar,” says resident and Realtor, Francis Ragoo. “The harmony amongst residents is appreciated. We have all kinds of people here and you see that diversity at every festival you go to.”
