A master of all lifestyles
Miromar Lakes is thought to be one of Florida's most esteemed gated communities, and it takes little thinking to see why. A simple glance at this masterclass of master planning reveals a scenic Mediterranean-esque community bursting with modern amenities that accommodate a fast-paced and active lifestyle, a slow and leisurely one, and everything in between.
Mediterranean living on Lake Como
From the centerpiece Lake Como, Miromar Lakes divides into five distinct neighborhoods, each offering its own array of premade floorplans that come with membership to the Golf and Beach Club. Contemporary and modern designs sitting at the end of long, red brick driveways reign supreme throughout all five communities. But some offer boxy, flat-roofed modern homes with floor-to-ceiling windows, while others offer a bit more of a traditional feel, often implementing cross-gabled roofs with shingles. But no matter where in Miromar Lakes a home buyer lands, it is sure to be a far more expensive landing than elsewhere in Lee County. Few, if any, single-family homes are listed below $400,000, and plenty sell for up to $5 million.

Among the wildflowers
The community of Miromar Lakes offers many recreational activities and amenities. The indoor fitness center features state-of-the-art machines and offers personal training and group exercise classes. Saturday morning doubles on the club's Har-Tru clay tennis courts are a regular occurrence, as are pickleball mixers on their dedicated courts. Those seeking a more relaxing outing can do so at the community's award-winning botanical garden, which features over 3,000 species of plants carefully placed around a scenic lakefront.

Beachside wine tasting
When looking to mingle with neighbors, the beach club is the go-to place to do it. Outside, the white sandy beach drifting out to Lake Como's waters is frequently used for community events like five-course wine tasting and annual holiday parties. Inside, a billiards room, dining room and common area offer spaces for friendly chit-chat, while other amenities, such as the library and theater, allow for some conversation-free personal time.

Arcade bars and baba ghanoush
Some needs, such as groceries and healthcare, can only be accommodated outside of the neighborhood. Gulf Coast Town Center is located less than a mile up Ben Hill Griffin Parkway from the main gate. With a Costco Wholesale, Target, and Petco, visitors can go there to accomplish a week's worth of errands in one fell swoop. The one thing it lacks is ample healthcare services, save for a few pharmacies. But, hospital visits are not too far away, as Miromar Springs is roughly equidistant from both the Gulf Coast Medical Center and Lee Health Coconut Point Hospital. Gulf Coast Town Center also has a smattering of chain restaurants, some nationally based and others local to the Fort Myers area. De Adriatico is among the most popular restaurants in the town center, offering an extensive menu of Mediterranean dishes and craft cocktails in a modern atmosphere. Across the parking lot, the arcade bar at a GameTime Restaurants location is popular for both family-friendly outings and a dose of nightlife.
Super Target is one of the main ways to get groceries in Miromar Lakes.

Steel drumming students
Local K-12 students get to attend some of Lee County's highest-rated public schools, and with Florida's unrestricted open enrollment system, their choices are even wider. Most choose to begin at Pinewoods Elementary, which has an A-minus rating from Niche, while others choose to start at Three Oaks Elementary, which has a rating of B-plus. From there, the majority elect to attend Three Oaks Middle School, which gets a B-plus rating from Niche, while older students attend South Fort Myers High School, which has a Niche score of B.
Buses from campus to downtown
Those who commute for work every day are fortunate to have immediate access to Interstate 75 with entrance ramps directly north and south of Miromar Lakes. That allows for faster travel into Fort Myers and locations further south, though their proximity to the town center sometimes means traffic moves slower. A bus route is located along Ben Hill Griffith Parkway, which can be used to access the Florida Gulf Coast University campus or transfer to other routes that take riders further into Fort Myers.
