Trimmier Park lies on Riverside’s east border and features a playground, pavilion and walking trail. Residents can also play basketball, football or baseball at one of its many facilities. McNally Park sits on the border of Mobile Bay in the nearby Bayview area. Located along the waterfront, the green space has both a kayak launch and a boat ramp that allows guests to get out on the water. Close to McNally, the Buccaneer Yacht Club invites everyone to cheer on their favorite teams in the yearly regattas and races. The member-run club boasts a bar, pool, cabana, clubhouse and harbor facilities. Almost 100 years after its establishment, the club still sails for pleasure and competition. Those competitions are major draws to the area, and events like the Dauphin Island Race is one of the most popular among locals. And with Dog River flowing along the edge, residents can launch a kayak or canoe to paddle around or reel in anything from speckled trout to redfish.
The Grand Mariner is also a local favorite for seafood on the river.
Trimmier park also has a great outdoor exercise area for Bayview residents.
McNally Park has a boat launch for those in Bayview who wish to enjoy boating.

While Riverside itself doesn’t have any restaurants, plenty of delicious options are nearby. Bama Bob’s BBQ is an award-winning restaurant specializing in traditional Southern barbecue, serving classics like brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Another popular local eatery is River Shack. Situated along the waterfront of the Dog River, patrons can dock their boats and come in for a hot meal before jetting back out to the bay. It offers scenic views from the large open-air seating area and live music. The rustic clam shack is known for its fried and blackened catfish, as well as sandwiches and platters. Riverside residents are under 3 miles from Gulfdale Plaza Shopping Center, which offers Family Dollar, grocery store Food-Champs Dauphin Island, a clothing boutique, a nail salon and Western Union. Making the grade at Mobile County Public Schools
Served by the Mobile County Public Schools District, Riverside students attend Morningside Elementary, Pillans Middle School and Ben C. Rain High School. The elementary school earned a C on Niche, and Pillans earned a C-minus. Morningside offers an annual fall celebration, regular literacy nights and a student talent showcase. Earning a C-minus on Niche, the high school offers football and volleyball teams, a martial arts program and an Academy of Aviation and Aerospace.
Ben C. Rain High School offers Riverside teens a chance to learn more about aviation.
