Also earning a C-minus from Niche, Williamson High offers robotics and photography clubs, cross-country and football teams and an Engineering Academy. For continuing higher education, Bishop State Community College’s Southwest Campus is just 5 miles away and offers programs that range from Aviation Manufacturing Technology to Cosmetology.

From sightseeing tours to riverboat dinner cruises and the annual iconic Mardi Gras celebration, there’s no shortage of things to do. Or head to Flight Works Alabama at Brookley Aeroplex, an interactive aerospace exhibition and education center with over 40 exhibits. Play in the aerospray paint station, fly an Airbus A320 in the cockpit simulator challenge or put popular aviation designs to the test in the aerodynamics arcade.
