Humble homes on Park Hill’s hilly roads
Park Hill’s bungalows, cottages and American Foursquares were constructed from the late 1800s to 1940s. They sit close together with small yards and have two to four bedrooms. Closed-in or open-air porches and detached garages, accessed on narrow alleys behind homes, are common. Properties average 33 days on the market and sell for $68,000 to $169,000, while those needing extensive renovation sell for $17,000 to $48,000. Larger homes surrounding Barnard Pond can reach up to 5,500 square feet. In this section of the neighborhood, homes don't come on the market often, but one sold in 2024 for $288,000. The neighborhood's CAP Index Crime Score is a 5 out of 10, slightly higher than the national average of 4.Riverside Park has activities for every season
The riverside Ben Butterworth Parkway, a mile north of Park Hill, is a popular destination to bike, walk, fish or launch a canoe. It is part of the 60-mile Great River Trail that passes the Quad Cities Botanical Center, a Dutch windmill and the Mississippi Palisades State Park. Riverside Park, a mile east of Park Hill, offers attractions for every season — ice skating on the lagoon, gardens and a pool with slides and a lazy river. Pickleball, softball, baseball and sand volleyball facilities are also available. The Riverside Cemetery, where John Deere is buried, is not technically part of the park, but residents frequently walk along its paths. “Those are two of our more popular parks,” says Stacy Laake, customer service and marketing coordinator for Moline’s Parks and Recreation Department. “No matter where you live in Moline, you are probably using one or both of those parks.”Highly rated Moline-Coal Valley schools coupled with athletic achievements
Park Hill is in the Moline-Coal Valley School District, which has a B rating on Niche. Students may attend Logan Elementary School and Woodrow Wilson Middle School, which both have B-minus Niche ratings. At B-plus-rated Moline High School, sports play a significant role in the community, with games sometimes drawing thousands of attendees. “Just slam-packed full of people,” says Moline High School Athletic Director Todd Thompson, referring to the boys’ basketball team’s first state championship in the 2022-23 season. An undefeated boys’ soccer team and a trip to the volleyball Sweet 16 mark other recent successes. Every year since 1995, the school received the Illinois High School Association’s sweepstakes, awarded based on performances across all sports. “As far as athletics go, we’re probably one of the better choices on this side of the river,” Thompson says.Hockey, national acts at Vibrant Arena and themed river cruises

Interstate 74 runs along the neighborhood's western edge and crosses north over the Mississippi River into Iowa. The Quad Cities International Airport is about 5 miles south via I-74 and provides nonstop flights to major hubs including Chicago, Atlanta, Denver and Dallas-Fort Worth. MetroLink bus stops are located on Park Hill’s busier roads.Eclectic dining in neighboring downtown Moline
