Walton Hills is made up of several residential subdivisions, including its namesake Walton Hills and Greenwood Point, as well as the Pheasant Ridge apartment complex. The neighborhood's winding streets and quiet cul-de-sacs are lined with large, contemporary homes built in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. Residents can head about 3 miles west on John Deere Road to Rock River Plaza for Walmart, Lowe’s and a variety of casual dining spots, including Panda Express and Steak ‘n Shake. About 2 miles north, locals can grocery shop at Aldi, Jewel-Osco and Hy-Vee.
