Campolindo is a part of Moraga’s hot housing market. “Moraga has very low inventory, which creates a high demand,” Kimoto says. “There are usually eight to 15 available listings at a time; they get multiple offers and fly off the market. It’s always been like that. It’s a high-end area.” Campolindo’s wooded, hilly cul-de-sacs are lined with one and two-story homes built in the 1960s and 1970s. Styles include Mission Revival homes and custom designs. Prices range from about $1.7 million to $2.7 million, depending on the scope of renovations. HOA fees give homeowners access to Campolindo Cabana Swim Club, an outdoor neighborhood pool where kids can take swimming lessons. The Club’s swim team has set records for decades.

Outdoor recreation at Lafayette Reservoir
The serene Lafayette Reservoir recreation area has over 10 miles of hiking trails. The wildfire risk is not extreme in Campolindo. Still, “Insurance companies are dropping people,” Kimoto says. “That would be the big challenge – being able to get affordable insurance. If you ask anyone around there, they’d say, yup, that’s true.”
