Creekside is a small neighborhood about 4 miles from March Air Reserve Base, a major local employer. “Moreno Valley is home to longtime residents and newcomers, including a large military and veteran community,” says Ulises Cabrera, Mayor of Moreno Valley since 2022. Alessandro Plaza, just south of the neighborhood, has businesses, gyms and local restaurants, while Moreno Valley Commerce Center has law offices and a few auto shops. Phil-Am Enterprises, Food 4 Less and El Super are nearby for groceries. Canyon Crossings is about 3 miles away and has Target and other national chains.

Skate parks, soccer fields and a public golf course
Moreno Valley Community Park is located next to Moreno Valley High School and often stays busy with sports leauges. The park has four soccer fields and a skatepark. “The median age in this area is about 30 to 35, with many young families,” Cabrera says. He mentions the city’s recent upgrades to recreation, including the Flight Deck Bike Park. “We’re building the largest pump track in Southern California. It will be a great place for locals and visitors.” Nearby, the Cottonwood Golf Center has a public 9-hole course with discounted rates for locals and a youth golf program.

Mediterranean homes near an elementary school

The Moreno Valley Unified School District, which has a B-minus rating on N Niche, offers Dual Language Immersion programs in English and Spanish to help students become proficient in both languages. Creekside Elementary has a C grade and Sunnymead Middle School has a C-minus rating. The elementary school is next to the district’s Community Wellness Center, offering programs for underserved students/ Moreno Valley High School has a B-minus rating and offers Career Technical Education programs in welding, business management and graphic design.

The neighborhood is around 2 miles from Route 60 and Interstate 215, which locals call the 60 and 215. Riverside is about a 12-mile drive from these highways.
