Boating, fishing and skiing on the Wando River, golf and swimming at the country club
The Wando River draws boaters, anglers, and anyone looking to get on the water. “It’s so pretty. It’s wide, so it makes boating and skiing fun,” Leahy says. The Rivertowne Country Club features an 18-hole course, and the community amenities center features tennis and pickleball courts, a pool and a playground. The closest green space is Laurel Hill County Park, about 6 miles away. The huge park draws hikers, cyclists, and walkers to its miles of unpaved trails.
