Coastal suburban living close to Downtown Charleston
Six Mile is unique in Mount Pleasant for being split by the 28-acre site of the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. This ample green space has hiking trails and historic outbuildings and offers educational tours on its land, a combination of graded farmland and tidal estuary. But perhaps most importantly to Six Mile residents, the park is protected by the National Park Service, which will keep Six Mile greener and less developed than many other neighborhoods in Mount Pleasant.

Newly constructed mansions and colorful bungalows
Six Mile is a neighborhood comprised of multiple subdivisions with new-construction mansions, colorful contemporary bungalows and ranch-style homes built in the 1980s. In cul-de-sac communities like Pointe at Primus, three-to-four-bedroom homes were built between 2015 and 2020, featuring well-maintained lawns and two-car driveways. These homes sit on narrow lots and typically list between $600,000 to $800,000. Ranch-style homes built in the 1980s can be found along Highway 517 in the West Point subdivision. These sit on large, quarter-acre lots with fenced-in backyards and list for around $500,000. Throughout Six Mile, there are new neo-colonial townhouses and farmhouse-style mansions in well-maintained subdivisions with involved homeowners' associations. Townhouse prices start around $600,000, and mansions with amenities like expansive front porches and heated in-ground pools range from $1 million to $2 million.
