A walkable Naperville community home to friendly neighbors and nearby shopping
Indian Hill is a northern Naperville community where residents live within walking distance of the established Nike Sports Complex on its western side and several grocery stores and eateries to the east. Though a relatively quiet community, residents enjoy spending time in front yards and catching up with neighbors passing by on sidewalks. When asked about the community, resident and owner of Let’s Play Music, Claire Geddes, says, “We love it here. Our neighbors are always out and about walking to and from parks and are willing to talk on their way through. It’s also taken on a younger family setting in recent years.” This is largely due to the high-ranking Naperville Community Unit School District 203 schools, a big pull for those moving into the neighborhood.
Indian Hill offers convenient shopping, office space, and recreation.

These sit atop plots ranging from 0.25 to 0.3 acres, with enough backyard space to entertain guests. Bi-level and Colonial styles dominate the community. However, there is a small sprinkling of different architectural inspirations, from Millennium Mansion to Tudor and Victorian-style homes. This a popular spot amongst little ones, thanks to its spacious playground and rolling terrain, which transforms into the neighborhood’s sledding spot on snow days. Meanwhile, Nike Sports Complex sits within the neighborhood’s western side. It serves casual and competitive pickup games and houses large athletic fields and well-lit tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. "Fitness stations were added to Nike in 2015 to give park visitors the option of a full workout outdoors," says Sue Omanson, community development manager with Naperville Park District.
