Southeast of downtown, Signal Point is in the Chicago suburb of Naperville. The Farmstead subdivision comprises much of the neighborhood and has long-standing organizations that get together to provide fun for families living here. “The Farmstead Women’s Club has been around for about 40 years, and they coordinate various activities throughout the year, like pictures with Santa and movies at the community pool during the summer,” says Tracey O’Connor, a broker with Keller Williams Infinity, who has lived in the neighborhood for about 25 years. “The women’s club coordinates with the Homeowners’ Association for other events like the neighborhood garage sale. HOA fees for the neighborhood are low. Only about $30 a year.”

Farmstead Swim & Racquet Club
The neighborhood's focal point for recreation during the summer is the Farmstead Swim & Racquet Club, where hot northern Illinois summers will surely find a crowd in the water. “The neighborhood has a swim team and is the site for periodic summer movies. There’s a widescreen, and the kids float around and enjoy the film,” O’Connor says. “Sunday mornings during the summer, there’s a family swim and bagels, donuts and coffee are served.” Eagle Park is just to the north of an adjoining neighborhood, and it has a playground, lots of green space, and parking along the side of the street. Meadow Glens Park is across the street from Meadow Glens Elementary School, with two full basketball courts, a baseball diamond and fitness stations along a looped walking and jogging trail.

A-plus rated schools in Naperville School District 203
As part of the A-plus Niche-rated Naperville Community Unit School District Number 203, elementary school students can attend one of two schools close to the neighborhood. Meadow Glens Elementary gets an A-plus grade, and Scott Elementary is rated an A. The learning continues with students staying in the neighborhood to attend Madison Junior High School, rated an A on Niche with a 12-to-1 student-teacher ratio. Naperville Central High School gets an A-plus rating. The school is known for keeping an Egyptian mummy named “Butch” in a glass case on the second floor of the school. It was given to the school in the 1940s after being donated to a local historical society. The Naper Boulevard branch of the Naperville Public Library is located near Scott Elementary School.

Proximity to downtown Naperville
Downtown Naperville is about four and a half miles to the northwest and is where to get steps in right alongside the DuPage River. The Riverwalk is a brick path that totals a little less than 2 miles. Only foot traffic is allowed. Bicycles, skateboards and motorized vehicles are prohibited. Swimming is also not permitted along the path. Commuters can find the Naperville rail station north of the river. Trips to Chicago Union Station on the Metra line will take about an hour. The Pace bus system serves public transportation in the area, managing fixed-route and on-demand bus service.

Market Meadows Shopping Center, west of Naper Boulevard, has a Jewel-Osco grocery, and Freedom Brothers Pizzeria & Alehouse has trivia on Tuesday nights.
