Its namesake park covers 10 acres on the neighborhood’s east side and features sports fields and a multipurpose open area perfect for running, chasing and kite flying. Du Page River Park is approximately 1 mile away and has ponds, picnic shelters, and a hiking trail that includes a segment of the DuPage River Trail. Visitors at Weigand Riverfront Park can splash or float in DuPage River or explore the grassy path that runs parallel to its banks. Whalon Lake lies to the immediate south and offers boating, fishing and wildlife viewing in the summer and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter.

For shopping, Target, Best Buy, Jewel-Osco, Home Depot and other major retailers are all less than 2 miles away near the intersection of West Boughton Road and Washington Street.
