Condos at Olé and gated properties at The Classics Plantation Estates
Dozens of distinct subdivisions are inside Lely Resort. Olé is popular with families for its Village Center shops and community pool. “More and more people are moving here full-time,” Jay says. “I sold to a guy who’s here full-time with his daughter. They were just tickled because she’s in middle school, and he can host all her friends and cousins; they all come here to swim, play, and hang out.” The subdivision’s rainbow-colored condos and villas sell for $500,000 to $650,000. Mediterranean and Spanish Revival-inspired homes in subdivisions like Lely Island Estates range from $650,000 to $1 million. Similar style properties in gated subdivisions like The Classics Plantation Estates start at $1 million and can go up to $4 million for their extra security and proximity to The Classics golf course. The Classics Country Club and The Players Club
Lely Resort has three on-site golf courses — The Classics Country Club, a private equity course, and the public Mustang and Flamingo Island courses. All homebuyers in Lely can opt for a membership to The Players Club and Spa, which has a resort-style pool complex, fitness room, spa, tennis courts and The Tiki Bar restaurant. “There are flags on the back of the chairs you can put up to get a towel or a drink. It’s like you’re on vacation, but you live here,” says Nina Burkhardt, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty who has worked in Naples for over 20 years. In addition to its on-site recreation, Lely Resort is within 6 miles of Naples Botanical Garden and public parks such as East Naples Community Park and Sugden Regional Park. The community is about 10 miles from the beach at Lowdermilk Park and 20 miles from Vanderbilt Beach. This distance from the shore can protect the area from some seasonal flooding, but previous large storm surges like Hurricane Ian in 2022 still damaged the area.Dual enrollment at Lely High School
Lely Resort is part of Collier County Public Schools, which has an A rating on Niche. Local schools like Lely Elementary School, Manatee Middle School and Lely High School all have B grades. Lely High School students can enroll in a dual credit program and earn college credits at the Florida SouthWestern State College Collier Campus on Grand Lely Drive.Tamiami Trail connects to the rest of Collier County
Highway 41, known locally as Tamiami Trail, runs directly on the southern side of Lely Resort. It connects 9 miles north to Old Naples and 11 miles south to Marco Island. Fort Myers and Southwest Florida International Airport are 46 miles away. Collier Area Transit (CAT) buses travel around the perimeter of Lely Resort and stop at local hospitals, government centers and shopping centers.In-resort dining at Sam Snead's Tavern
The Classics and Players Club have members-only dining rooms, while Sam Snead's Tavern next to the Flamingo Island course is open to the public. Freedom Square and Shops at Eagle Creek near the main entrance on Tamiami Trail have Publix, The Fresh Market, CVS and chain restaurants. Near the east entrance along Collier Boulevard, Saki Japanese Kitchen serves small plates of fresh sushi and Off the Rock Tavern offers beer and chicken wings until midnight. Physicians Regional Hospital, South Regional Library and churches like Shepherd of the Glades are near Rattlesnake Hammock Road on the resort's north side.
