A natural setting defines the Naples Heritage Golf and Country Club community
Among the exclusive golf course communities that can be found throughout southwest Florida, Naples Heritage Golf and Country Club stands out for its natural setting. “We have more preserves than any other community,” says Kimberly Vaughan, a real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway Florida Realty and Naples Heritage resident. “When people first come through the front gate -- and I bring a lot of clients in for open houses -- they love the fact that we have so much natural preserves.” Nearly half of the development’s 550 acres are dedicated to natural, wooded areas, which serve as the perfect complement to an 18-hole layout that winds its way through a landscape of towering trees, water hazards and strategically placed sand traps. The housing is also strategically placed, making Naples Heritage one of the lowest-density communities in the city.

Housing options include condos, villas and single-family homes
The community’s housing options are a mix of low-rise condos, attached villas and single-family homes. Residents of each enjoy a variety of golf course and waterfront views. Condos are the most common, and they range in price from around $300,000 to the high $500,000s. Attached villas with two-car garages range from the mid-$600,000s to the high $700,000s. Spacious single-family homes typically feature a mix of contemporary and Spanish Mediterranean design elements such as vaulted entrances and terra cotta roofs. Palm trees and landscaping add curb appeal to quiet streets. Most back yards have pools. Prices range from about $800,000 to more than $1 million. Single-family monthly HOA fees range from the high $700s to the mid-$800s. Fees for villas and condos range from around $1,200 to more than $1,300. The community, which is about 7 miles from the Gulf Coast, faces only a moderate risk of flooding during hurricane season, but the risk of wind damage is high from June through November.

"Golfer-friendly course" offers an attractive challenge
Naples Heritage Golf and Country Club is a bundled community, meaning golf membership and its associated fees come with homeownership. The course plays to more than 6,600 yards from the tips, but with several sets of tees it appeals to varying skill levels. Regardless of distance, the water, sand and trees present an attractive challenge. “People I’ve talked to find it to be a golfer-friendly course,” Vaughan says. “It’s not too hard, and it’s not too short. They really enjoy playing it.” Residents can practice on the community’s aqua range. Tennis and pickleball courts are also popular destinations. “Pickleball is huge because a lot of the other bundled golf communities don’t have that,” Vaughan says. “We also have a free-standing fitness center with instructors and a message therapist on-site. The resort-style pool has cabanas, so you can dine by the pool, and sometimes there’s outdoor music.”

Residents have several dining options within the community. In addition to poolside food and drinks, The Grille Room offers lunch and dinner in a casual environment, and the clubhouse features a weekly community breakfast every Sunday. GG Brunch Haus is a highly-rated restaurant nearby. While outside dining options are sparse, the community offers proximity to shopping options such as Walmart and Publix. Boutique shops, contemporary dining destinations and bars are concentrated in downtown Naples about 6 miles away.

Residents enjoy easy access to downtown Naples
Nearby Davis Road connects residents to downtown and the city’s buzzy waterfront. “From a location standpoint, it’s great,” Vaughan says. “To get to my office downtown, it takes 13 minutes. You’re away from the hustle and bustle of Old Naples, but you still have easy access to it.” The Physicians Regional Campus on Collier Boulevard is about 5 miles away. The community is also just a few miles from Interstate 75, which provides convenient access to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers about 30 miles away. The gated community’s CAP Index score of 1-out-of-10 signifies the lowest possible crime rate.
