A relaxed, upscale lifestyle at Naples Lakes Country Club
Palm trees dot the freshly cut lawns and manicured fairways of Naples Lakes Country Club. As members of one of Naples’ bundled golf communities, all property owners here have access to the country club amenities, including a private Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course. With 731 residences, the neighborhood welcomes a mix of seasonal and year-round residents who come to enjoy the warm weather and easygoing atmosphere. Cheryl Suffoletto, Naples Lakes resident and Realtor at Downing-Frye Realty, says she found her community at Naples Lakes. “I think the fabric of this community is very special. It’s very welcoming,” she says. “My buyers say they’re looking for their people, people who they can get along with and enjoy, and become friends with and do activities together."
Private recreation includes an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course
The gently sloping Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course winds through and along nature preserves in Naples Lakes. Native grasses and palm trees line the fairways and waterways of this private, 18-hole course. “That’s the crown jewel of our community,” Suffoletto says. The grounds also have bocce ball and tennis courts, a gym and a resort-style pool with a newly renovated cabana. The country club hosts onsite events like golf tournaments and themed luncheons in the clubhouse. Naples’ sandy white beaches overlooking the clear blue water are 9 miles west, and Marco Island, an upscale beach town where visitors can swim, snorkel, boat or fish, is 13 miles south.
Single- and multi-family home options on manicured greenways
Homebuyers can choose between condo units, carriage and coach homes, single-family properties, and more spacious estate-style homes. “We have every type of housing. People can upsize or downsize,” Suffoletto says. “You always have an upgrade path.” Multi-family and condo units typically sell for between $350,000 and $800,000, while Mediterranean-style houses, which often have golf course views and private inground pools, typically sell for between $850,000 and $1.25 million. That said, according to Suffoletto, higher-end properties have historically sold for upward of $2 million, and many property owners invest in renovations and home upgrades. “It’s well kept and well managed, which is why the prices are what they are and hold steady. It’s very cohesive,” says Gerald Lefebvre, local Realtor at John R. Wood Properties. Membership and Master HOA fees equal about $1,500 per month but can vary slightly depending on the property type.
Dining at the clubhouse and nearby in downtown Naples
Country club members enjoy upscale dining at the clubhouse. “The food is fabulous. It’s among the best food you can find in town, and it’s reduced cost. We treat it as an amenity,” Suffoletto says. Publix has groceries just outside the community’s gates. Eight miles west, Fifth Avenue South in downtown Naples evokes the look of a European village, with a mix of historic Mediterranean-style shops and modern buildings lining the well-traveled streets. Here, locals find global dining options like Caffé Milano and upscale shopping.
Connecting from Naples Lakes around the region
In addition to being within a quick drive of area hotspots like downtown Naples and Marco Island, residents can drive about 30 minutes west to reach Southwest Florida International Airport. Physicians Regional Medical Center’s Collier Boulevard location is less than a mile away. Drivers can connect from Collier Boulevard to Interstate 75, which runs through Fort Myers and across the state.
Collier County Public Schools offer dual enrollment
Students in the neighborhood typically begin school at Lely Elementary School, which has a B grade from Niche, before continuing to B-plus-rated East Naples Middle School. Lely High School earns a B grade from Niche. It offers dual enrollment courses through Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Southwestern State College, as well as career learning pathways including engineering and aviation.
