Luxury living for various budgets in Fiddler’s Creek

Fiddler’s Creek, a coveted gated community in Naples, pulls out all the stops – luxury homes alongside nature preserves, a resort-style pool and spa, a nationally ranked golf course and more. “This community is head-and-shoulders above a lot of other gated communities,” says Realtor Shamus Jones with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. Residents can dine at restaurants within the community, engage with its busy calendar of social activities and opt into a club that gets them access to a private beach in Marco Island and a marina on the Isles of Capri. Jones says the community’s multimillion-dollar estates attract a populace of CEO retirees, but with condo options starting around $300,000, it’s not only executives who can afford to live in luxury.

Coach, single-family and custom estate homes

Scenery alone brings buyers to Fiddler’s Creek. “Everybody comments when they drive in that it’s beautiful,” Jones says. “Fiddler’s Creek has put a lot of money into their landscaping over the years.” Housing options include coach, single-family and custom estate homes in four communities. Callista II features four floor plans with three-bedroom Mediterranean coach homes with water views. Dorado features three-bedroom modern coach homes. Oyster Harbor features two- and three-bedroom single-family floor plans. Hidden Cove is home to custom estates with golf, water and nature preserve views. Prices vary greatly. $300,000 to $500,000 gets buyers modest coach homes, while $500,000 to $1 million can get a larger coach home or single-family option. For $1 million to $4 million, buyers can get large, often custom single-family homes, typically with Mediterranean architecture and lanais with pools. Many homes back up to the creek, but Jones says, “If you have a private boat drop, you can’t have much more than a 10- or 12-foot boat. It’s not a boating community.” Fiddler’s Creek has a 1 out of 10 CAP Index Crime Score, well below the national average of 4.

A top-five Florida school district

Collier County Public Schools gets an A-minus grade from Niche and ranks on the site as Florida’s fifth best school district. Manatee Elementary gets a B-plus grade, and Manatee Middle and Lely High School get Bs. Lely High School’s Collier Career Academies offers career and technical education programs in areas such as art and technology, business and engineering and trades.

Endless ways to stay active and unwind

Nature preserves make up more than two-thirds of the neighborhood, providing a peaceful environment for fishing, birding, biking and walking. Another way to unwind is at The Spa at Fiddler’s Creek, offering facials, massages, exfoliating treatments and more. The community has six tennis courts and 18 pickleball teams, earning Naples its title as “Pickleball Capital of the World.” The neighborhood also has an expansive lagoon-style pool with waterslides, whirlpools and daily water aerobics classes. Fiddler’s Creek’s Arthur Hills-designed golf course ranks in Golfweek’s top 100 residential golf courses. The community’s creek only allows small boats, so for boating and beaches, residents typically head to Marco Island, less than 10 miles away. Residents can join the Tarpon Club, which offers access to a private beach on Marco Island and a marina on the Isles of Capri.

Neighborhood dining and additional options on Marco Island

Caxambas is an upscale restaurant serving contemporary cuisine in the community’s clubhouse. The Gator Grille is a more casual, outdoor dining spot overlooking the golf course. Sale e Pepe is an authentic Italian restaurant that earned the AAA Four Diamond Award for Dining. For groceries, residents can shop at the neighborhood’s Publix. Less than 10 miles away, Marco Island offers additional shopping and dining.

An abundance of social opportunities

Fiddler’s Creek and its residents put on many social events for the community – themed dinner parties, outdoor concerts, art workshops, happy hours and more. Jones says the community is especially active in the winter when its population is at its peak. “They’ll have New Year’s Eve parties and take bus trips to the casino in Miami,” he says.

Public transit, a nearby hospital and Southwest Florida International

Fiddler’s Creek is a car-dependent community in Naples, Florida. U.S. Highway 41 runs through the neighborhood, connecting it to the rest of the city. Several Collier Area Transit bus stops are located in the neighborhood. The nearest hospital is Physicians Regional, about 8 miles away. About 40 miles away, Southwest Florida International Airport offers flights to destinations in the U.S., Canada and Germany.
