The town is served by New Canaan Public Schools, which has an A-plus rating from Niche. The district is particularly known for its outstanding academic programs, teachers, clubs, activities and college prep, all of which have an A-plus rating. Three of the district's schools are ranked No. 2 in the nation according to their grade level and have an A-plus rating from Niche.
