Quick commutes and Bonnie Crest, home of American painter and quick commutes
Bonnie Crest, a suburban neighborhood in New Rochelle, is 27 miles from New York City and is known for its grand and diverse architecture. While the large homes and expansive lawns are the main allure, proximity to the highway, parks and schools is another draw to the area, says Scott Cohen, a resident of New Rochelle and broker with Howard Hanna Rand Realty. The need for quiet, green spaces near transportation has drawn many to this affluent neighborhood, including an iconic American painter. “Norman Rockwell lived on Lord Kitchener Road in Bonnie Crest, where his studio was attached to his home,” says Cohen. The quiet community’s walkable amenities, unique homes and spacious setting make Bonnie Crest ideal for those looking to escape the city without sacrificing convenience.

Most yards are surrounded by maple and oak trees, with long driveways leading to wide roads. The CAP Index Crime Score is a 1 out of 10. The national average is 4.
