Agee says that most surrounding cities and towns come here to shop. "It's in the middle of everything, so it makes sense," he says. Scenna’s Family Restaurant has a homey atmosphere with a menu of classic diner options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Iron Mann Grille serves tavern food favorites like wings, cheese curds and onion petals.
Stevens Park offers standard public amenities, including playground equipment, athletic courts and a wooded walking trail, but sets itself apart with a disc golf course. David Tod Park is best known for its baseball fields, heavily used by the Girard Baseball Association, a popular youth league. In nearby Vienna, the Avalon Country Club at Squaw Creek offers a private 18-hole experience on one of the oldest championship courses in the Midwest. Niles hosts annual holiday celebrations, including parades on Halloween and the Fourth of July, as well as a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
Interstate 422 passes through the center of McKinley Heights, providing straightforward access to Warren and Youngstown, both approximately 7 miles away. Mercy Health – St. Joseph Warren Hospital is equipped to provide emergency services and general medical care.
