Other areas, like the Emory Parc Manor subdivision, are more suburban and have narrow streets with speed tables and sidewalks on both sides.

DeKalb County Schools and the International Baccalaureate program

Mason Mill Park has a network of hiking and biking trails that connect to neighboring areas. It is often the site of organized nature walks exploring the area’s plant life. DeKalb Tennis Center, run by Agape Tennis Academy, offers training and junior camps, plus pickleball events. W.D. Thompson Park is a wooded area with a playground and covered picnic tables. Mason Mill Dog Park is a green space for furry friends to get out their energy. Creeks and birds like cardinals and bluebirds can be found at nearby Ira B. Melton Park. U.S. Route 23, locally known as Clairmont Road, runs through the neighborhood. The community is less than 3 miles from Interstate 85. Mason Mill is around 10 miles from Downtown Atlanta and close to 20 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, or MARTA, operates public buses that make several stops along Clairmont Road. Daniell says the area does not receive much extreme weather, save an occasional tornado, and damage is usually mild.
Easy access to I-85 makes commuting from Mason Mill a breeze, whether you're headed into Atlanta or beyond.
Public transit is close and convenient—catch a MARTA bus just outside the Mason Mill neighborhood for an easy ride around town.
