Sagamore Hills’ expansive homes and convenient location

Sagamore Hills comprises winding streets of single-family homes, a semi-affluent suburban neighborhood about 2 miles from Central North Druid Hills. Most properties come with land, and mature trees provide thick coverage. Additionally, the community is in proximity to North Druid Hills schools, parks and commercial shopping centers. Multiple main roads are within reach, allowing easy access to the Atlanta metro area. “It’s a very nice, very quiet neighborhood. It’s older, so the prices have gone sky-high over the years,” says Realtor Mercedes Ruehle with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, who has over 15 years of experience.

A wide selection of single-family homes

Homes in Sagamore Hills are lined along residential roads on large lots. Grassy front lawns with decorative shrubbery are accompanied by driveways and surrounded by mature trees. Mid-century, ranch-style homes are common. There are also multi-story Colonial Revivals with brick exteriors built from the 1950s to the 1980s. Prices range from $450,000 to $825,000. Newer luxury homes from the 1990s to the 2010s can be found throughout the neighborhood, some with Georgian-inspired architecture and others with Neoclassical features like slanted roofs and large pillars. These properties can cost upward of $1.1 million to $2.3 million. “A lot of the original homes have either been renovated or torn down to build these mega mansions,” Ruehle says.

Additional housing options include a handful of contemporary townhouse communities. Most units are attached, multi-story and come with tucked-in garages. These are priced around $450,000 to $575,000.
