Woodland Hills
Condos and contemporary architecture by Briarcliffe Road
The neighborhood is tucked away behind tall canopy trees west of Briarcliffe Road. Most homes were built in the 1950s, and many houses are well-shaded with long driveways, bushes and flowerbeds. Condominiums vary between $140,000 and $400,000, while apartments are anywhere from $1,000 to $4,000 a month in some complexes. Townhouses cost between $200,000 and $600,000, while traditional and Craftsman homes will range from $600,000 to $1 million. Many of the larger two-story homes built in 2024 will have quarter-acre lots and can cost up to $1.5 million. “It’s got a wide variety,” Warnock says. “You’re getting bigger houses built out there, and more younger families are moving in. It’s changed a lot in the last 10 years.”Shopping and dining at Briar Vista and Sage Hill
Local restaurants and retail can be found in the shopping centers by the northeast and southeast corners of the neighborhood. Most restaurants are at the Briar Vista Shopping Center, which is anchored by an Aqua-Tots swim school and populated mainly by small shops and novelty stores. Waikikie serves Hawaiian barbecue and plays live music on the weekends, while Ameer’s serves Mediterranean delights such as kabobs and shawarma. Pig-N-Chik is the local barbecue joint by the Sage Hill mall, which has a Kroger grocery store and the local post office.Schools in Druid Hills, plus Emory University
