Woodland Hills’ connections to Fulton and DeKalb counties
Woodland Hills has always benefited from being just 8 miles northeast of Atlanta. In the early 1900s, locals used to hop aboard the trains that came through on the tracks to the south and ride the rails throughout the area. Today, the neighborhood is more connected than ever before with the local highway making it easy to get around between Fulton and DeKalb counties. “We actually have a split jurisdiction,” Lindbergh Lavista Corridor Coalition president Bryan Warnock says. “We’re the closest pocket in town to where you can be on unincorporated DeKalb. That’s kind of a unique selling point that’s different from being inside the city limits.” Rated an A-plus on Niche, families within Woodland Hills love its diverse housing options, local parks and convenient location within the metro area.

Condos and contemporary architecture by Briarcliffe Road
The neighborhood is tucked away behind tall canopy trees west of Briarcliffe Road. Most homes were built in the 1950s, and many houses are well-shaded with long driveways, bushes and flowerbeds. Condominiums vary between $140,000 and $400,000, while apartments are anywhere from $1,000 to $4,000 a month in some complexes. Townhouses cost between $200,000 and $600,000, while traditional and Craftsman homes will range from $600,000 to $1 million. Many of the larger two-story homes built in 2024 will have quarter-acre lots and can cost up to $1.5 million. “It’s got a wide variety,” Warnock says. “You’re getting bigger houses built out there, and more younger families are moving in. It’s changed a lot in the last 10 years.”
Newly built townhomes are now available in the charming Woodland Hills neighborhood—offering modern living in a beautifully green setting.
