North Hills
Country clubs, private parks and the Roslyn Farmers Market
When residents want to be outdoors, they may play golf at one of North Hills’ golf courses, relax at one of the numerous country clubs or spend time in one of its well-maintained parks. The recently renovated Lowell Kane Park, which only North Hill residents can use, features a playground with brand new equipment and rubber surfacing, as well as a newly paved parking lot and basketball court. Christopher Morley County Park is also a popular destination thanks to its striking pond, 30 acres of wooded trails and long list of amenities. Residents come here to golf, swim, ice skate and play sports, including baseball and volleyball. This park also hosts the Roslyn Farmers Market run by the Long Island Growers Market on Wednesdays from late May through December.Three highly ranked school districts serve North Hills
North Hills is split among multiple school districts, all of which are incredibly highly rated. Niche lists the Great Neck Union Free School District as the third best school district in the state and the 11th best district in the country. Students zoned for Great Neck schools might begin their education at Lakeville Elementary and then head to Great Neck South Middle and High Schools, which all score A-plus grades on Niche. Herricks Union Free School District likewise makes it into the top 100 school districts in the country, while it and Manhasset Union Free School District rank among the top 20 school districts in the state. While the school district that children in the village attend depends on address, every student can receive public education at a highly rated institution. According to Milovcic, the school districts in North Hills are a major reason it is such a popular neighborhood.Gated communities and condominium complexes in North Hills
