The neighborhood’s homes were built primarily between the late 1950s and mid-1970s. They range in size from 900 to 1,300 square feet. Some homes, including the occasional 21st-century build, offer more than 1,700 square feet. The homes typically feature large driveways and carports, and backyards are large enough for in-ground pools. Sidewalks dotted with palm trees help residents navigate the neighborhood. Prices range from $300,000 to almost $500,000. “In North Lauderdale, this is one of the most affordable neighborhoods for single-family homes,” says Liz Hankins of Mac Realty Group, who has sold several homes there. Tabanka is a neighborhood eatery that serves up Afro-Caribbean favorites. Mr. & Mrs. Crab is a popular stop located among the chain restaurants on McNab Road. Nearby Broward Meat & Fish is an alternative grocery option. “The neighborhood is pretty centrally located as far as access to amenities,” Hankins says.Coconut Creek High offers dual-enrollment classes
