Older North Little Rock neighborhood under a face-lift
Originating in 1892, Levy was founded as a campground for farmers and drovers traveling the Fort Smith Road to markets in Little Rock. It is at the top of North Little Rock's revitalization list. A $2.3 million renewal project called Jump Start kicked off in late 2020 and has been in progress ever since. It aims to improve transportation options and enhance walkability and multi-purpose space. "Levy's seen a bit of a resurgence, and I would expect that to keep going,” says Aylette Roper, Realtor for Keller Williams Realty and life-long Central Arkansas resident.
Traditional homes at affordable rates
Under the shade of mature trees, narrow city streets slope up and down through Levy. Home inventory includes ranch styles with parking pads and narrow yards, Craftsman-style bungalows with gabled roofs and carports or brick split-levels perched on sloped yards. Prices range from 49,000 to 255,000, but buyers can expect a three-bedroom ranch to sell for $115,000, while a three-bedroom split level will go for approximately $140,000. “In the last five years, there’s been many people coming in and fixing up the houses, and the property values have really gone up,” Roper says.
