Golf course communities and horse farms close to Downtown Tampa
Over 25,000 residents live in the modern, single-family homes scattered across Keystone’s rural farmlands. Some luxurious horse farms offer miles of open green space, while other smaller homes are packed in quiet, golf course communities. Throughout the neighborhood, “kids attend A-plus rated schools,” Kelly Downing says. The neighborhood resident and local Realtor with Keller Williams Tampa Properties, Downing, adds, “There’s a lot of nature here – a lot of lakes and farmlands.” “It’s a real family-oriented community that’s rural with a touch of city.” She explains, “If you drive out the back of Keystone, it’s basically all rural farmlands, but if you go out the front, it’s grocery stores and restaurants.” Regarding the commute, Downing says, “We’re about 30 minutes to the beach, 20 minutes to the airport and 40 minutes to Downtown Tampa.”

5-acre luxurious horse farms and golf course communities
Two-lane backroads wind through Keystone’s rural farmlands, branching into quiet side streets. Many of the neighborhood’s single-family homes are packed in gated cul-de-sac communities. Some golf course communities have two-story Spanish Revivals and other stucco-walled new traditional homes tucked along small lakes. Towards the less developed center of the neighborhood, Downing says, “There are a lot of horse farms.” “But it’s not just your typical barn or farmhouse; it’s million-dollar, 5-acre horse farms.” These massive estates reflect a mix of Spanish Revival and farmhouse architecture, with sturdy stucco exteriors and contemporary sash windows. Most homes with four or more bedrooms cost between $825,000 and $1.5 million, with some listing over $2 million. Still, some smaller residences in organized subdivisions can range closer to $550,000 to $650,000.

Explore two golf courses at The Eagles Golf Club
Well-maintained pickleball courts and a massive modern jungle gym shaded by tall pines sit in the heart of the community at Keystone Park and Recreation Center. Parents can watch little ones play on the farmers market-themed playhouse and cool off at the local library, just a few steps away. Throughout the year, young football players and the local Little League practice on the immaculate fields at Ed Radice Sports Complex. Golfers can practice their swings on the driving range at Silver Dollar Golf Club or play a round on the two 18-hole courses at The Eagles Golf Club. Residents say the sprawling oak trees along the Lake Rogers Park walking trails are perfect for climbing with the kids. More tree-covered, unpaved hiking trails are just a few miles away at the Booker Creek Headwaters Nature Preserve.

Palm trees, lakes, inlets, and stunning Mediterranean-style homes with pools, boats, and cozy cul-de-sac locations barely begin to tell the story of Odessa neighborhood. Located about 23 miles northwest of Tampa, Odessa is ranked the second-best place to live in Pasco County by Niche. Home to about 7,500 residents, Odessa is a welcoming and active suburban community with most homes built in the 21st century.
“I love this neighborhood,” says Jennifer Laihuyen, a local Realtor with Future Home Realty and a real estate agent for over 16 years. “Odessa has supermarkets, fitness centers, shopping, daycare centers and great schools, all just around the corner from home. The neighborhood offers plenty of conveniences and is truly close to everything.”
Sidewalk-lined subdivisions feature simple stucco cottages and million-dollar inlet-facing homes with pools. Swaying palm trees and flowering Bougainvillea complement green lawns and nearby lakes to create a stunning Florida oasis. Homes feature lanais, elaborate patios and two or three-car garages. Single-story homes have recently sold from about $500,000 to $900,000. Buyers can find multi-acre, undeveloped properties in Odessa from about $500,000 to more than $1,000,000. Luxury waterfront homes with lake access and guest cottages have recently sold from $950,000 to $2,000,000. Realtor Laihuyen continues, “There are a lot of newer homes in Odessa and the great location means they're a little pricier, but you can still get more bang for your buck here than in places like Tampa.”

Nearby, Carrabba’s Italian Grill is family-friendly and cultivates fans with classic Italian dishes and over-the-top desserts.
“Odessa has fast food and high-end restaurants nearby and many are walkable from some subdivisions. Folks can just cross the street and enjoy lunch or dinner,” Laihuyen says. “There are lots of new businesses as this is such an up-and-coming area.” Locals stop at Starbucks at The Shoppes at Crossings Boulevard, which also features a Chili’s, Pizza Hut and Jimmy John’s.
