Great schools and plenty of green space in Northfield Center
Home to about 5,500 people and surrounded by nature, the township of Northfield Center has a suburban vibe and stellar schools within a 30-minute commute of Cleveland and Akron. “It’s been a community that has grown quite a bit in the last 30 years with new housing,” says Holly Zingale, a Realtor with Keller Williams Chervenic Realty. “It’s a good halfway point for people who commute. It’s in the middle of a lot of things in the metropolitan area, and I think that has brought a lot of people into the area.” The community is close to Cuyahoga National Park, a scenic hiking destination with views of waterfalls, streams and gorges. Zingale adds that “I know a lot of people who grow up there stay there, or they leave and come back. I didn’t grow up there… but the people I do know are still friends to this day, from the time they were in elementary school, and they’re still friends in their 50s.”
