A bedroom community with a pulse in Norfolk County
In Norwood Center, which includes the town center of Norwood and the surrounding residential areas, there are many trademarks of classic New England downtowns. Brick-outfitted commercial structures, small parks including a town green, Greek Revival-style bank buildings and independently owned businesses like Italian bakeries and bagel shops line the streets. Residential homes, public schools and commuter rail stations are connected by tree-lined roads. “Norwood has a beautiful town center and a great sense of community,” says Lauri Ryding, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty with 21 years of experience servicing Norfolk County. “There are organizations like the Circle of Hope Foundation, and we have a Neighbors Helping Neighbors Facebook page.”
The town of Norwood was incorporated February 23, 1872.
