The new and improved park also has a basketball court. For some indoor fun, visit the Manzanita Recreation Center. This gymnasium also has a playground and outdoor basketball court. They regularly host free and low-cost recreation programs for the community. Sign your little ones up for an after-school program, karate lessons, a youth sports league or a day camp. Start your day with a steaming hot cup from Hasta Muerte Coffee, a community-focused, worker-owned cafe with everything from empanadas to pastries. They even have a small selection of books for customers to enjoy while they kick back and relax with their breakfast. If you’re craving Mexican food, check out Taqueria El Grullo or Tacos Alonzo for classic Mexican dishes and some of the best tacos and burritos around. Locals can grab their groceries from Dollar Tree and New Market.
