You can reserve a picnic area from May 1 through October 31. Siempre Verde is also a favorite destination. Located at the corner of Park Street and San Leandro Boulevard, this newly renovated park provides open green space and recreational facilities. Here, you'll find two picnic areas, two half basketball courts, two play areas, outdoor table tennis, and restrooms. If you want to get away without traveling too far, head to Martin Luther King Regional Shoreline, only five minutes away. This peaceful location offers picnic and barbecue areas. There's also an elevated area for bird-watching, or you can take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. There are also several boat launches and fishing piers for water activities.Need some exercise? Head over to the East Oakland Sports Center located within William "Bill" Patterson Park. I have been here since childhood and all I can say is I have my fair share of good and bad times. I really liked staying here with my family in a pretty nice home. but I didn't like how there were countless times of dangerous situations, and loud motorcycles that I seem to dislike so much. I can say that for all people it different and you might have to the experience of good memories but also unpleasant times.
